Real questions from our clinic - answered by our dental hygienists.
Unless your gums are severely inflamed, it will not. Patients are most often pleasantly surprised that the treatment does not hurt. For very sensitive patients, we offer topical anaesthetic and laughing gas (Entonox).
Bleeding can have several causes. The most common is gum inflammation, caused by a build-up of plaque and bacteria around the teeth. Regular dental hygiene treats it.
Dental hygiene on its own does not whiten teeth, but it removes older plaque and stains from coffee or tea, so your teeth may look whiter. We offer teeth whitening as a separate treatment, for example with the Pure Whitening method.
A certified protocol from the Swiss company EMS: first we make the dental plaque visible with a disclosing agent, then we remove it precisely with the AIRFLOW® Prophylaxis Master. This makes the treatment more thorough and much gentler than conventional cleaning.
Usually once every 6 months. Patients with braces every 3 months, and patients with gum disease (periodontitis) every 3 to 4 months. We always remind you of your appointment by phone or text message.
Call us or send us a message and we will get back to you within one working day.
